well, i've already gone and busted up one of my knees again. for those not in the know, i don't get to run much because my knees just can't take it, so i've adopted the elliptical machine as my primary cardio device. well, it looks like i can overdo it on that too. pretty soon i'm going to have to learn to walk on my hands or something.

friday i went to terre haute to see the lorettas play. i haven't seen them do the rock music in a while, so that was nice despite outdoor shows being weird. the other bands were all pretty not good. the show was put on by the ISU radio station though, which seems really cool. i listened to it in my truck for a bit and got some good ideas for station IDs.
i think the whole thing got me feeling a bit long in the jaw.. (even though becky was the one who brought up feeling old) jason dedicated the song Settle Down to aiden and owen, which while cute, was a big signpost to paradigm shift. especially given the fact that we were standing in an intramural field with a bunch of 18 year olds. maybe i'm just overly sensitive to such things since i've just emerged from the other end of a 5 year time warp.
it was unfortunate that i couldn't stay for their show saturday at the verve as well as a kevin rube cookout. i'm sure there will be more though. it's too bad i live so far away. i'd love to host such a thing but i'm pretty sure no one wants to drive all the way to lafayette.

saturday i was feeling kind of guilty for a number of reasons, but most importantly for the sake of this journal entry, i left my keys to the practice space in terre haute so we could not have rehearsal - the whole reason i left terre haute at 2a in the first place. i ate grocery store sushi and got over it. karen and i split for champaign around 4 to go see david bazan play. he's the dude from pedro the lion. i'm not really particularly a fan, but his portion of the show was really good. he definitely seemed to have the holy ghost power - reminded me a lot of josh caterer. but yeah, it was good. proof that a guy and a guitar can do solid music. his openers were 50/50.. the first guy was pretty good, but the second one (who looked like a young captain ahab and yarled out of the side of his mouth) wasn't my cup of soup. the show ended early, so we were back in lafayette by 1 even with the time change.

sunday was mostly sleeping and the corec.

today i'm kind of just eyeballing the remainder of the semester. deciding how proactive i want to be in studying. my portion of the stat experiment is pretty much done. probably just needs a half hour of tweaks. i'm going to try and sit down and churn out the spanish paper tonight. cram for the SPSS quiz maybe wensday after noon or thursday morning. having a free month off before the summer session starts will be nice.

haha. it just struck me that this is the most boring entry ever!
here's the exciting stuff: i got to clean up cat puke at lunch!
